For the past nine months, popular local female boxer Margaret ‘Chico’ Walcott-Francis helplessly watched as the police concoct with her nephew to actually put an end to her career in the fistic sport. The 55-year old woman narrowly escaped death last November by parrying a cutlass blow which was intended for her neck,Bayern Trikot Ausw?rts 18/19

They only collected the woman’s medical from the hospital three months after the incident. The woman said that despite appealing to several senior police officials, including Commander Clifton Hicken, the person who wounded her is still to be charged nine months later. She told this newspaper that one of the police ranks, who is supposed to be investigating the matter, even suggested that she agree to a financial settlement.“So far I give them three statements because they always losing it. Up to now the matter ain’t reach the court. I lose money on a fight in Trinidad and I couldn’t even work for a month. I am a sports personality and this is the way the police are treating me,” the boxer, who may be retiring soon, lamented.
