The Government of Guyana (GoG) has requested the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB)’s technical assistance to strengthen its capacity for Integrated Disaster Risk Management (IDRM) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.As such, the technical cooperation has evolved as a response to the GoG’s desire to address challenges such as the need for more accurate flood risk information that incorporates the effects of climate change and sea level rise.The cooperation also seeks to address improved public education on disaster risk and its reduction and an updating of the national disaster risk management system to more effectively implement integrated disaster risk management.The overall objective of the programme is to design and implement an Integrated Disaster Risk Management Plan, within the framework of Comprehensive Disaster Management (CDM).The specific objectives are to: evaluate climate–related disaster risk; strengthen national and local capacity for IDRM; and support the future implementation of the IDRM plan through the design of an investment programme in flood prevention and mitigation.The government is now seeking to proceed with the procurement of a consultant to assist with the design of a pilot public education campaign on flood risk management.The specific objective of the consultancy, according to the government, is to “design,Maillot Alphonse Areola, produce, implement as a pilot and monitor an innovative,Bayern M?nchen Trikot 2019, creative and gender sensitive, public non-formal education campaign to raise awareness on flood risk management.”The consultant must also possess,James Rodriguez Trikot Bayern, “Good working experience in Latin America and the Caribbean,Fc Bayern Trikot G?nstig, as well as excellent oral and written knowledge of the English language is required.”? The expected duration of the consultancy is 224 discontinuous days over a 12-month period.As such, the CDC, on behalf of the Office of the President, has invited eligible consultants with experience in the services listed to make known their interest in this consultancy.“Interested consultancy firms must provide information establishing that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff etc.,Maillot Psg Femme Personnalis?,) and should be submitted in English.”The government has pointed out that the consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the Inter-American Development Bank’s Policies for the Selection and Contracting of Consultants financed by the Inter-American DevelopmentBank. Interested firms are required to submit their proposals by January 21.The CDC was established in the year 1982 to make plans and conduct operations to deal with all types of disasters in Guyana.By 1985 a comprehensive National Disaster Preparedness Plan was documented and put into use.At the time of its establishment,Fc Bayern M?nchen Fanshop, the Commission operated under the authority of the Office of the Prime Minister.Responsibility for the CDC was subsequently moved to the Office of the President in 1992.In September 2001 Standard Operation Procedures for the National Emergency Operations Centre were upgraded to meet new challenges of the worsening domestic and international disaster situation.The CDC of Guyana is a full member of the Caribbean Disaster Emergence Management Agency (CDEMA).
